About IEA

The IEA is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to introducing and fostering lifelong participation in equestrian sports. With a mission to make equestrian athletics more accessible, the IEA employs a unique team competition format based on a random draw. This means riders do not need to own their own horse or riding equipment to compete, making the sport more affordable and inclusive for all.

Who Can Join?

• Middle School Teams: Grades 4-8
• Upper School Teams: Grades 9-12

Each team consists of 3 to 40 riders of the same age group (Middle or Upper) and a coach. The program welcomes riders of all skill levels, from Beginner Walk-Trot to Varsity Open.

Competition Season

The IEA show season runs annually from August to June, offering a structured and supportive environment for young riders to grow their skills, teamwork, and love for the sport.
